Design Challenge: (Pencil / Pen Case Holder)

Objective:
Your challenge is to design a creative and functional pencil case holder that effectively organizes and holds writing utensils. The design should reflect both aesthetics and practicality, making it suitable for personal or professional use. The design should consist of a minimum of 2x parts. Good luck!

Step 2. (Create A Pencil/Pen)

You will need to create a 3D Model (.ipt) of a pencil/pen. A dimensionally accurate representation of a pencil/pen is required in your final assembly.

Step 1. (Sketch Time)

Time to grab some paper. Your task is to create hand sketches of the design you plan to make in AUTODESK INVENTOR. The drawings don’t have to be a work of art, just don’t be sloppy with it.

Include: Front View, Side View, Top View (Make sure to label your views)

Additional: Take a picture(s) of your finished sketch & include it in the final submission.

Step 3. (Test Your Skills)

Time to open up INVENTOR & begin designing.

Include: At least 2x individual parts (The same piece duplicated doesn’t count as different individual parts)

File Name (.ipt): DD-YOUR NAME_CASE-01

DD-YOUR NAME_CASE-02

……….

Assembly Name (.iam): DD-YOUR NAME_CASE-00

Folder Name: YOUR NAME

Step 4. (Zip Folder)

After you have finished & your folder is filled with your masterpiece, it’s time to email. Because the folder will be a fairly large file size, we want to shrink it down. In order to do this, “RIGHT CLICK” on the folder, “Compress to…”, “ZIP File”. When you do this, it will create another folder of the same thing, but with a zipper on the icon. This is the folder that you want to email.

Additional: Don’t forget to include the photo(s) of your hand sketch
